Dr. Troy D. Marusich has been a Principal R&D Engineer with Protolabs in Maple Plain, MN since 2018. At Protolabs he has focused on hardware and software technology research in the areas of additive manufacturing, machining and mold making. Prior to joining Protolabs, he was the Chief Technical Officer of Third Wave Systems where he led the technology and product development for the Company’s CAE software products focused on machining; they are used today in the US, Europe, and Asia for automotive, aerospace, medical, and oil and gas industries. He has M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Engineering from Brown University, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.
