Dr. Elio Jin-Ha Kim is the head of application engineering for LED lighting at Samsung Electronics. He has been working in the photonics industry for 25 years with expertise in semiconductor processing, fiber and waveguide optics, and solid-state lighting. Some particular interests include high-efficacy LED architectures, and spectrum engineering for light-human and light-plant interactions. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in physics from KAIST and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from UT Austin.
