A: 20° is the only angle we have. Q: Can I use a prismatic Direction Turing Film over bare LED’s and redirect all the light 20°? A: Our DTF will move some light in the direction needed, but bare LEDs have a 120°FWHM output, which has too much high angle light to redirect. Some light will flood over, but the “beam” will not move much. The ideal incident angle is 10-30°FWHM. If a beam is collimated in this range, a high percentage of the light will be redirected 20° off-axis. Q: Does the DTF have the same transmission percentage as your Light Shaping Diffusers (88-92%)? A: In a 1-to-1 comparison, the DTF has a slightly lower transmission. This is because our DTF is a periodic prismatic, which has more retro reflection that our randomized diffuser structures.
